What's New in Tabernacle: July 2026 Update

Messaging dashboard overview

All three features connect through the Messaging dashboard under Finance.

From here you can:

• See your current SMS and WhatsApp balances at a glance

• Check delivery status - delivered, failed, and pending

• View recent message groups with sent and delivered counts

• Retry failed messages

• Access full delivery history
  

Three new features are now live in Tabernacle. All three are in the Messaging module under Finance. 

1. Bulk WhatsApp Messages

The new update in Tabernacle now lets you send WhatsApp receipt acknowledgements to multiple Contributors once.

Before this update we only had Bulk SMS, WhatsApp was not available as a delivery channel for receipt acknowledgements. Now you can select multiple donor records, choose WhatsApp as a channel, and send to all of them in one go. 

What you can do:

• Filter recipients by fellowship, receipt head, or date range

• Send WhatsApp receipt PDFs to multiple Contributors once

• Choose WhatsApp only, SMS only, or both channels together

• See the estimated message count before confirming

• Review the group summary and click Confirm and Send

Cost: Rs. 0.22 per WhatsApp message 

📌Note: Selecting Both WhatsApp + SMS will deduct from both balances. Each donor will count as 1 WhatsApp message (Rs. 0.22) and 1 SMS (Rs. 0.35), totalling Rs. 0.57 per donor. 

2. Bulk SMS Messages 

SMS messaging in Tabernacle has been updated with new filtering options.

What you can do:

• Filter recipients by fellowship, receipt head, or date range

• Send SMS receipt acknowledgements to multiple Contributors\ once

• Use alongside WhatsApp or independently

• See estimated SMS count before sending

Cost: Rs. 0.35 per SMS

3. Razorpay wallet recharge

You can now recharge your SMS and WhatsApp balances directly inside Tabernacle using Razorpay.

Before this, recharging required a manual request. Now you top up from the Messaging dashboard whenever your balance runs low, pay instantly via UPI, card, netbanking, or wallet, and your credits update straight away.
